And Arab Unity
Ironically, the functional actuality of US COCOMs now is for EXFIL, not INFIL, of US assets presently on other continents.
The Axis of Resistance crowd, having high hopes for this their merely linguistic construction, are at the other end now, sunk in despair over ever "killing Israel." Every pole has its opposite. That's what makes a polarity. The superficial careen back and forth between the poles.
During their manic days, I marveled that The Axis of Resistance crowd considered Syria a reliable element of their putative Axis. Now, during their depressed days, I marvel at their weeping and wailing and predictions of doom definite and soon, even for Iran!
Who is sicker, jihadis or The Axis of Resistance crowd?
Lawrence remarked Arabs’ constant weakness proceeding from their aggressive eschewing of unity.
US Americans have no strategic interest in The Middle East. We're on another continent altogether. What matters it to us how Arabs go about learning to forge their own unity or eclipse?
Our errors are not in calculations for intervention but rather in the premise of intervention at all.
Bashar Assad did what men and women without the calling do when handed or seizing control of mechanisms of statecraft: they hurt people and harm their own nation. We US-Americans see this phenomenon dancing drunkenly in our own capital and 'round about the cities and towns of our own nation.
In such situations, the proper course is (1) cultivate unity through patience, intelligence, and selfless service and (2) incubate and grow equanimity by means of deep dives into the pure and calm spiritual waters of selfless love for one and all equally. Get off the mental / emotional pendulum and climb into the fixed point -- the sanctuary of a clean heart -- from which it swings.
The world comprises combinations and permutations, not just binaries.
Nature is not only binary. Nature combines and permutates.
The whole world is a mixture, not a puzzle.
Patience is strength.
Aggression is weakness.
Revenge is suicide.
