The US Army Is A System
The Army is not a team. The Army is a system.
The Branches of The Army are not Artillery, Infantry, Engineering, Cavalry, Armor, etc.
The Branches of The Army are Space Force, Air Force, Fires Force (includes cyber, IO, and drones), Sea Force (Navy), and Land Force (Army as heretofore regarded).
The Army works under unified command by the Chief of Staff of The General Staff, who work under Constitutional and Statutory Authority.
The national strategic industrial base is state property statutorily responsive to The General Staff. US strategic industry belongs to The US Army. They are one and the same under Army command.
Congress must rewrite, and
POTUS must sign, US Code that
conforms with the foregoing contours of reality.
Today's herd of cats called US MICIMATT — fat, gluttonous, supine, and desultory — must be redesigned and re-legalized — by Congress and POTUS — as a system rather than as, since WW 2, an entrepreneurial rodeo for self-promoting paladins (and bright idea fairies).
The Soviet Russian and now the Federation Russian integrated Apparatchik held at bay for decades and now has defeated the US American Yankee/Cowboy individualist Entrepreneur in all three areas of statecraft: Diplomacy, Economy, and Warfighting.
In military matters, the principle of The General Staff has defeated the principle of The Joint Chiefs of Staff. In diplomatic/intelligence matters, the principle of mutual benefit through respectful dialogues to achieve reliable agreements has defeated the principle of domination through threats, subterfuges, and dirty tricks with a view to generating exploitable chaos at home and abroad. In economic matters, the principle of goods-production has defeated the principle of financialization.
The individual person is an active factor in an active system of persons who support the individual person. Maintenance and expansion of the system of persons, therefore, is the priority for everyone inside or connected with the system, to include persons participating in its governance.
An army is not a team. An army is a system. There are teams in an army. But the important thing is not the teams. The important thing is the army, the system. The system persists, even in defeat. Teams come and go per need real or not.
Systems control systems. Teams do not control systems. Individuals cannot control systems. A nation is a natural system of systems. It is thrown into existence and held together by the very human desire for glory:
the reach for grandeur unique and universal to humankind,
the yearning for immortality in service of family, spouse, offspring, employer, city, regional state, and/or national sovereignty, wealth, and welfare.
The indefatigable urge to propagate is the cause of nations. The wealth of nations is their birth rate and elevated arts of motherhood. Protecting and promoting this is glory.
Self-interest, race, and ideology are insufficient motivators of national and even family defense. Only self-confidence and, more so, self-sacrifice bestow the formal powers of organization and statecraft upon individual persons, families, neighbors, cities, regional states, governments, and nations
One imbued only with self-interest, racial pride, and/or ideological zeal cannot be trusted for anything. They are agreement-incapable.
Neighbors and nations carry forward by the intrinsic power of their own self-confidence. Self-confidence itself is the seed of glory and as such draws to itself the gloriously inclined, which, in fact, is everyone to some degree.
System developers do not present as fearful objects whimpering like whipped dogs. They present as vividly colorful, carefully engaged persons, cultures, and nation states. A few — such as, currently, Russia, India, The USofA, and China — present as civilization and great power states.
Not for nothing are women attracted to men wearing military uniforms with hanging medals and shiny brass or gold buttons. Military might implies capable participation in family and national glory. The hero is breeding-worthy because he or she protects their own, be it family, nation state, or any system in between. Glory is happiness and happiness is breed-ability. That’s how a human person lives an honorable and therefore honored life. The system first. It moves first to preserve and perpetuate itself in glory, as well it must. The system is what’s worth protecting by means of heroic deeds.
Teams are confrontational and abrupt.
Systems are adaptive and accommodating.
An army is not a team. An army is a system.
This is the seed of a great tree of wisdom that
develops / ramifies itself immediately one hears it.
West Point (USMA) have advertised themselves as the world’s premier leader development academy. This is an abrogation of responsibility and an insult to the skills and accomplishments of Cadet Candidates who show up for R-Day, also to their families, especially their mothers, and again to their countrymen in toto.
Applicants for Admission to West Point are vetted for Leadership skills as one of three accomplishments required of them for them to receive an Offer of Admission. The other two are Academics and Physical Fitness. By definition, a Cadet Candidate who shows up for R-Day is an accomplished leader. At least so it was not long ago when I co-coordinated the West Point Admission Field Force for Washington State.
A Candidate for Cadetship at West Point arrives there on R-Day prepared to learn System Development, something new to them, not Leadership, which they already know. Why should they undergo the rigors of West Point to learn what they already can do? If they don’t already know Leadership, they should not have received an Offer of Admission. It is not US Taxpayer responsibility, through their Army, to remediate the failures of a Cadet Candidate’s mother!
In Army terms, Leadership is a Squad-and Platoon-level skill. There is where Leadership skill is demanded to shine. To some extent it must shines also in Company Command and Company 1stSgt kinetics of an army system. However, those already are billets mostly for System Developers, not for leader development.
So West Point Commanders, Faculty, and Staff — and Board of Trustees of The West Point Association of Graduates — want to demean The Corps of Cadets, their own growth medium, by forcing Cadet Candidates, New Cadets, and The Corps to think they are getting something valuable that they already have, as evidenced by their Offer of Admission?!?
By evidence now before the nations, it is revealed that US General Officers cannot understand modern political-military realities because their intellects and emotions are stuck at best in Company-level kinetics. Even they themselves loudly proclaim — and understandably given their [false] training — that their only writ is tactics — Leadership — while strategics — Systems — is the writ of politicians. (Politicians can do strategics as well as ants can do calculus, and that US General Officers know full well that speak of it.)
The nation cannot long stand with this defenseless and arrogant ignorance at the center of our systems of strategic defense. We know that defenseless
USofA is a goal of the Zionist-Fascist-Globalist (Neocon) combination currently affixed to the levers of power that are The USG. It should not be the goal of The US Army as well. Without The US, there is no place for The US Army.
West Point could and should be the world’s premier system developer academy. At least one of the world’s premier system developer academies. Russians have a multi-generational head-start here. However, a dram of friendly competition upon the fields of civilizational development would not speed amiss, to re-sow the seeds of enthusiasm that, upon other fields, on other days, will bear the fruits of US national strategic safety.
