We're At That Point Now
Where There Is No Choice
Today, it’s emerge and participate in polycentric structures of mutual benefit, equal cooperation, and indivisible security among all nations, OR, don’t bother getting up tomorrow morning. You’re not needed and won’t be wanted.
If you can’t bring yourself to evince equal respect for all nations, large and small, little and great powers, if you have to control them all or else you’ll just explode, and then everybody will be sorry, you don’t need to get up tomorrow morning. If you do, you’ll have no way, anyway, to understand what is going on and why.
In fact, if you’re going to be like that, put your personal affairs in order today. You’re on the way out.
The loudest doomer mouths, US-Americans and others, are the ones least likely to learn the conceptual excellencies required to thrive in a polycentric local-to-national-to-international system of balanced powers. Ignore such. They babble in ignorance.
Now, today, it is more advantageous for a nation to cooperate than to dominate, to invigorate and inspire the other guy with his own innate capacities than to colonialize, coerce, cull, capture collimate, or steal from him.
Welfare is mutual and well as personal. This includes equally in the realms of spiritual and national affairs. Viability in such things as diplomacy, finance, and warfighting is supplied by spiritual excellencies such as detachment, discernment, and discrimination.
National grand strategy is supplied by the general spiritual elegance of the citizens of a nation.
A nation sunk in low morals, dumbed-down intellectual powers, endless conflict internal and external, this is a nation bereft of spiritual elegance in their general population.
It is impossible to have a nation — or nations — comprising spiritually decrepit citizens governed properly by a cohort of its — their — citizens who deem themselves spiritually excellent but aren’t.
Whoever is at the top is just like whoever is at the bottom. If you want the top good, first fix the bottom. Then you’ll get a good top.
Therefore, the first-to-final duty and task of a true governing cohort is to cultivate the spiritual elegance of the citizens of their nation. If a governing cohort governs a great power — currently includes Russia, India, China, USofA — their first-to-final duty and task is to cultivate the spiritual eloquence of the citizens of all nations, and equally so. Great powers have more and wider duties than do little ones. However, great or little, the duties are the same — albeit different in scale — and never vary, cultivate spiritual excellence.
Histories, abilities, and skills differ. But the fact of being is the same. Everyone matters. Every pair of hands is two opportunities to work for personal and public welfare.
Man can ruminate over the past and speculate about the future. He can experience the present. However, man should not worry about what is past. The present is the product of the past. What has happened is beyond recall. It is futile to worry about the future because it is uncertain. Concern yourself only with the present. By ‘present’ we may be thinking only of this moment. But this is not the present as Divinity sees it. For the Divine, ‘present’ is what is ‘omnipresent.’ This means that both the past and the future are present in what is, because it is the result of the past, and the seed of the future. Because man has no firm faith in the omnipresence of the Divine, he worries himself about the past, the present and the future. The terms of art for international relations — see above — are the terms of art for familial, municipal, regional (state), and national relations. The larger groups are a scaled-up small group. In local-to-national-to-international systems, we see increments of scale, from family to nation-state, but not orders of kind.
In all groups, commerce is NOT the central focus of the group. Happiness is. This means spiritual elegance, the source of happiness, is the real central focus of all groups, from families to nation-states. Dharma is the sine qua non to humankind at every scale.
POTUS Coolidge famously said that the business of Ameria is business. He meant the central focus of US-Ameria and US-Americans is commerce.
Au contraire. The central focus of The USofA and of US-Americans is self-organization. Self-organization is our soul. It’s what we taught the nations is doable: self-organization even in conditions of tyranny.
Self-organization is the hope we give to nature’s nations: that they can organize their own happiness rather than submit to someone telling them what they have to do to achieve, deserve, receive, or earn happiness. Everyone deserves happiness and can give it to themselves. Now they know they can do it — and should do it — right where they are, rather than come here, to The USofA, to do it. We’re already self-organized, and rightly, we’re not going to let anyone one else self-organize in our midst.
There is an experience, rare but real when it happens, that, strange as it may seem, also is available to discovery — and therefore experience — by using the combined force of inductive and deductive logic on the one hand and quiet repose and agricultural labor on the other. I reference the experience that all time-fields are concurrent. Specifically, past, present, and future are concurrent at and in each moment of time and therefore each article of history.
This [video] is what has been called feeling in the moment (I forget, maybe a Kandinsky phrase, Ruskin, Coomaraswamy?). There's a feel about what is happening, right now, and our host's video here is a lucid expression of it.
My last two posts -- yesterday and today -- rise from the same feeling in the moment, that we’re at the end of the road of pretending it’s the proxies, not us. And it's the end as well of bad-mouths and doomerism. Anyone who wants to do that had better blow town. The new era has started and is merciless to those who won't keep up yet want to stop or impede development in the name of some dyspepsia which is their disease and no one else's. Zakharova, also, is feeling this, as evidenced by a quip she made yesterday or Friday.
